    Professional Land Surveyor

    Company: Wolf Water Resources, Inc., located in Portland, Oregon.

    Minimum Qualifications: Licensed as a Professional Surveyor in Oregon. Licensure in multiple states a plus (Washington, California, and Idaho).

    Summary: Wolf Water Resources specializes in stream and floodplain restoration projects. We are looking for a PLS to expand our survey capabilities to support these projects which require work in densely vegetated stream corridors, using boats for bathymetric surveying, and UAVs. The ideal candidate will possess applied expertise and project management experience for land surveying projects. The candidate will exhibit a collaborative nature with project staff, clients, and subconsultant partners while working in the field and in the office. We work primarily throughout the Northwest and occasionally work in other locations.

    • Field experience is necessary with total stations, handheld spatial data collectors, and RTK GPS along with the various computations.
    • Experience writing legal descriptions, preparing easement documents, and creating topographic surfaces using AutoCAD Civil3D.
    • UAV (drone) experience desirable.
    • Bathymetry data collection experience.
    • Proficient in the use of current versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting software;
    • Familiarity with GIS software desired.
    • Contributes to and leads business development activities (networking, developing scopes of work, leading or assisting in developing proposals, participating in presentations, etc.)
    • Actively maintains appropriate licensures and certifications.
    • Comfortable with providing internal survey trainings to staff.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of database, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to weather and outdoor conditions. Limited field work is required. The employee should be comfortable in the outdoors and able to hike in rough conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; unstable ground; hillslope environments; and extreme cold and extreme heat. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Periodic travel to project sites and other offices may be required including the geographic range of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and California.
