    Are you looking for something different in the Surveying field? 

    Are you looking to use your Survey skills in a unique way? 

    We are a small firm looking to take a different approach to using our Surveying skills and technology to support mainly agricultural and rural projects.  We are also looking to support rural or small-town engineering projects.  We need a skilled and experienced Survey Crew Chief half to full time who can also do remote office support work to be a part of this growing firm.  Hours are 20 – 40 hours per week to start and progressing into full time plus.  You must be able to run a solo crew or be part of a two-person crew then electronically remotely communicate and interact with co-workers for office work.  All fieldwork starts and end in Molalla.

    Skill sets required:

    • LSIT required
    • Ideally some education in Surveying, CAD or Engineering Technology
    • Must have 4 to 10 years of Survey field experience 
    • Ideally have 2 to 4 years of Survey office experience
    • Ability to work as a one-person crew with the highest of integrity
    • Ability to work as part of a two-person crew with good team work and open communication
    • Ideally experience with Trimble Survey gear including R8 GPS, S6 Robotic Total Station and TSC3
    • Powerful desire to be a team player, to learn, to grow professionally and personally and possesses a strong work ethics
    • Primarily half to full time field position with office work to fill out hours and workload
    • Ability to work in rough terrain, all weather conditions and pack heavy gear
    • Currently no travel required, but could change depending on workload
    • Experience with Survey Cogo programs
    • Ability to provide examples of a variety of CAD drawings completed
    • Powerful desire and skill set to work in 3D
    • Experience using Carlson Survey ideally or AutoCAD
    • Experience using GIS software ideal 

    Additional skill sets we are looking for: 

    • Experience or powerful desire to use GIS.  Currently using QGIS
    • Experience with 3D Scanning fieldwork and software
    • Experience or powerful desire to work with Drone/UAS software
    • Software skills to learn and use innovative technologies
