    Pacific Community Design is a local consulting firm (Tigard, OR) designing communities for larger development companies in the Portland Metro area. We continue to enjoy significant growth in our business and are seeking an additional Licensed Land Surveyor to strengthen our teams.

    Skills and Knowledge: 
    7 years experience and/or 4-year degree. Registered professional. AutoCAD/Civil 3D knowledge. Proficient with Microsoft Office.

    Project Responsibilities: 
    Supervises and coordinates survey crew activities. Responsible for technical production and ensures QA/QC guidelines and company standards are met. Coaches staff to ensure quality design. Responsible to the success of the survey components of a project and the performance of the staff. Active involvement in all aspects of project assignment (resource management, budget management, tracking schedule, communications, etc.) with supervision. Consistent willingness to accept assigned tasks/assignments/responsibilities (responsive with a "will do/can do" attitude). 

    Actively mentors staff to broaden their understanding of the land development process and foster team emphasis and continuum of learning. Seeks opportunities to host brownbags to pass on knowledge. Takes pride in their work and continually seeks ways to improve how the team serves our clients. Consistently positive and professional presentation of Pacific to peers, clients, and business community. Active involvement in company activities to support company goals. Leadership in the Pacific's direction with Survey services and contribution to the company goals.

    Demonstrates effective, open, and honest communication skills. Effective writing and verbal communication skills with management, peers, and client contacts. For non-routine assignments or tasks, actively seeks understanding of the project goals, scope, deliverables, expectations, and due date from the Project Manager. Conducts self in professional manner with contractors, adjacent property owners and jurisdictional staff. Communicates work completion or delays to affected parties. Proactively manages work to avoid conflict.

    Business Development and Client Relationship: 
    Successfully completes tasks/assignments/responsibilities to maintain project goals and to assist with further client development. Demonstrates an understanding of the importance of client relationships to Pacific and has that understanding reflected in work efforts. Identifies potential clients to pursue.
