FIELD SURVEY ASSISTANT NEEDED
Pays $13 - $18 per hour, depending on experience.
About the Position
Lane County Public Works seek an extra help employee to work with a Public Land Survey System (PLSS) crew. This survey crew locates and rehabs PLSS corners that may have incurred damage during the Holiday Farm Fire.
JOB DUTIES:
Successful candidates will spend the majority of their time working outside with a small survey crew. Specific job duties include:
- Visiting PLSS survey corners
- Re-establishing corners and/or accessories as needed.
- Carrying field survey equipment, blazing and tagging bearing trees as appropriate, setting survey monuments, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be able to:
1. Work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions, including inclement weather.
2. Perform light to medium manual labor in uneven terrain.
3. Possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License at time of hire and a good driving record.
4. Be 18 or older at time of hire.
