What we are seeking
Survey Instrument Person interested in joining our Portland, OR Survey team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is motivated and reliable and willing to learn.
Job Requirements
- No experience required; however survey experience is a plus.
- Job requires good communication and teamwork.
- Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to pass drug test.
- Occasionally may be required to work out of town/overnight for short periods of time.
- Be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to start early in the day.
- Requires stamina to manage the physical nature of the position, carry instruments, walk over rough terrain and cut down brush as needed.
- Reliable team member.
Job Duties
- Assist the Party Chief as needed.
- Knowledge of survey software or ability to learn a plus.
- Record tail gate meetings.
- Prepare daily reports as directed.
- Maintain legible clear notes and photo logs.
- Setup and operate survey equipment to collect survey data.
- Maintain hand tools and survey equipment.
- Carry equipment and work in all types of weather and terrain.
- Work independently when required.
- Safely operate hand tools and other equipment and demonstrate safe work habits.
License and Education
High School Diploma preferred or equivalent experience
Valid Driver License
