Whether you are working toward licensure or have already earned your Professional Land Surveyor license, PLSO provides resources to help you advance your career, expand your expertise, and stay connected to the profession.
The path to becoming a Professional Land Surveyor requires education, experience, and a commitment to lifelong learning. PLSO offers resources to help surveyors prepare for examinations, develop technical skills, and connect with experienced professionals who can help guide their journey.
In Oregon, licensure candidates must meet the education and experience requirements established by the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying (OSBEELS). The licensure process includes passing the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) and Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) examinations administered through NCEES, as well as the Oregon Specific Examination administered through OSBEELS.
Earning your license is not the end of your professional journey. Licensed surveyors continue to grow through leadership opportunities, professional involvement, mentoring future surveyors, and staying current with industry trends, technology, and best practices.
PLSO provides opportunities for licensed professionals to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their professional networks, and contribute to the future of the profession.
*The Emerging Leaders Program is available exclusively to PLSO members and is designed to develop future leaders within the profession and the association.
No matter where you are in your career journey, PLSO is committed to helping you develop the knowledge, skills, and connections needed to succeed. From preparing for your first licensing exam to leading the profession, PLSO provides resources to support you every step of the way.
